As you ponder your pre-retirement plan, you probably have questions. As this article from Government Executive indicates, there are no dumb questions when it comes to federal retirement planning. Consider attending an NIHTC pre-retirement workshop to get your questions answered.
Pre-Retirement Workshop (FERS) - Daily |

| This three-day workshop is designed to provide an overview of federal retirement benefits for those on the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and within 10 years of retirement. |
Pre-Retirement Workshop (FERS) - Weekly |

| Same as the FERS daily workshop, but it runs across three consecutive weeks rather than three consecutive weekdays (e.g., every Tuesday over three weeks). |
Pre-Retirement Workshop (CSRS) |

| This three-day workshop is designed to provide an overview of federal retirement benefits for those on the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) and within 10 years of retirement. |
Retirement Refresher Workshop |

| This course is designed for federal employees within one year of retirement, who have already completed the three-day Pre-Retirement Workshop, and who are fine-tuning decisions on leaving service. |
Additionally, we offer two workshops for those earlier in their federal career. They are available on a closed enrollment basis. If you have a minimum of 20 staff who want to take these foundational retirement planning workshops, please review the request guidance on the Group Training/Closed Enrollment website.
Understanding FERS Benefits for Early-Career Employees Workshop |

| This one-day workshop is designed for FERS employees with 2-5 years of federal service. Participants will review those important decisions made at career startup, what should be looked at again, and explore the three-tiered retirement system. |
Mid-Career Financial Planning for Retirement Workshop |

| This two-day workshop is designed for the FERS employee with 5-20 years of federal service, or who entered federal service mid-career and wants to gain an understanding of their federal benefits while identifying financial planning strategies for success. |
