Important Notice: Suspension of New Applications
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is suspending new applications for coverage in the FLTCIP to allow OPM and the FLTCIP administrator time to thoroughly assess the benefit offerings and establish sustainable premium rates that reasonably and equitably reflect the cost of the benefits provided. The suspension period began December 19, 2022, and will remain in effect for 24 months, unless OPM decides to end or extend the suspension period.
Eligible individuals who submit an application for FLTCIP coverage to the program administrator, Long Term Care Partners, LLC, prior to the start of the suspension period, will have their application considered.
The enrollment status or benefit eligibility of current enrollees does not change. Your coverage will continue if you are currently enrolled. For those in a claim status, there is no change to coverage or the claims reimbursement process.
