PLEASE NOTE THIS COURSE IS ONLY OFFERED AS A CLOSED ENROLLMENT IN FY25.
This 8-day class explores the numerous skills and competencies required for successful contracting specialist careers. This includes the acquisition process and general contracting principles, navigating, and applying FAR regulations and guidance, and developing comprehensive solicitations and contracts. This course is one of four courses within the Contracting Certification Training Program, based upon specific competencies within the Contracting Training Model.

  • Summarize the DoD contracting process and recognize the parts of a solicitation and contract
  • Define the ethical behavior expected of all contracting professionals and their organizations
  • Explain how the collective acquisition team functions together to successfully accomplish the mission
  • Recognize how communication and documentation impact overall contract management effectiveness

Audience:

This course is designed for entry-level contracting professionals, and is the first of four courses preparing participants for the Contracting Certification Exam.

Class Registration Process

When you register for a class, you will be automatically placed on a waiting list. A message "No Seats Available" will appear. Select YES, Continue Registration. Once the course is approved by your manager and final approver, you will successfully be registered if a seat is available.
