Professional Accomplishments
- As Chief of the Developmental Trajectories Branch of Mental Disorders Branch, developed NIMH’s translational neurodevelopmental research portfolio and a research program on bipolar disorder and early, chronic irritability in children.
- Contributed significantly to many key NIMH and NIH efforts, including NIMH’s Strategic Plan, NIMHs 2025 Suicide prevention Plan, the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study (ABCD), Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes Study (ECHO) and the All of Us research program.
- Co-investigator on the National Comorbidity Study – Adolescent Component, one of the most comprehensive studies gathering evidence on the prevalence and course of mental disorders in adolescents.
