The Social Security Administration (SSA) provides online tools and resources to help you understand your Social Security benefits. You can find information and online tools to help you understand your potential benefits on the SSA information page. Additionally, you can use the online services webpage to:

Review Your Information. You can access your secure, personal information, and earnings history.  Your future benefits are based on the earnings we have so it is important to make sure your earnings record is correct. 
Apply for Benefits. You can apply for retirement, disability, and Medicare benefits without having to visit a local Social Security office.
Find Help and Answers. You can find answers to your most frequently asked questions, as well as links to our publications and other informational websites.

Individuals age 18 and older may create a personal my Social Security account from any location and on any device. With a personal my Social Security account, most people can request a replacement Social Security card or Medicare card online. You can also get personalized retirement and spouse’s benefit estimates, check your application, or appeal status, and review your Social Security Statement.
