Overview

When an employee submits an AWS request one pay period in advance, ASB AOs can easily make changes to an employee’s tour in ITAS. All late requests (request received in the current pay period or two days before the end of the pay period) require a manual change to the Timecard in addition to a change in their tour. It is recommended that AWS request be submitted, at minimum, one pay period in advance of when the change will occur to allow time for accurate processing.

Steps

  1. Employee: Discuss your AWS schedule request with your supervisor.
  2. Supervisor/Leave Approving Official (LAO): Approve or disapprove employees AWS request based on guidance from policy.
  3. Supervisor/Leave Approving Official (LAO): Forward request to Division Director for additional approval and send back to employee.
  4. Employee: Contact your designated division WiTS Administrator to submit your AWS request.
  5. Division WiTS Administrator: Submit a WiTS ticket that includes the CWS agreement and LAO and Division Director signatures.
  6. Administrative Services Branch, Administrative Officer (ASB, AO): Update ITAS account to reflect new AWS work schedule.
  7. Employee: Verify/certify Timecard as usual. 

Note:

  • All effective dates must begin on the first day of the pay period and cannot start mid-week.
  • Late notice of your request could result in a later effective date than desired.
