As an injured employee with an acceptable claim; you are eligible for Continuation of Pay (COP) up to 45 calendar days unless the employing agency (i.e. supervisor) controverts the claim for the following reasons:
- If a occupational disease claim was filed for this injury
- If the employee is not a citizen
- If the employee did not file a CA-1 Traumatic Injury form within 30 days of the injury
- If the injured employee reports the injury after employment was terminated
- If the injured employee was injured off agency premises and the employee was not on official agency business
- If the injury occurred due to the employee’s willful misconduct
