Overview

This guidance is for employees seeking to set up a MaxiFlex account. Before an employee can set up a MaxiFlex account, the Branch/Organization must have established core hours. Each division determines core hours and may handle MaxiFlex request differently. Core Hours are mandatory and cannot be changed (core hours vary by SAC/Org. code). Therefore, your AO will work with your supervisor or Division Director to confirm core hours.

Steps

  1. Employee: Discuss your MaxiFlex schedule request with your supervisor.
  2. Supervisor/Leave Approving Official (LAO): Approve or disapprove MaxiFlex request based on guidance from policy.
  3. Supervisor/Leave Approving Official (LAO): If your Division/Branch is approved to use MaxiFlex, assign the core hours with your Division’s AO to make sure they are in ITAS before moving forward.
  4. Supervisor/Leave Approving Official (LAO): Forward request to Division Director for approval and send back to employee.
  5. Employee: Contact your division’s designated WiTS Administrator to submit request for MaxiFlex.
  6. Division WiTS Administrator: Submit a WiTS ticket. Include Change of Work Schedule or MaxiFlex Agreement with LAO and Division Director signatures.
  7. Administrative Services Branch, Administrative Officer (ASB, AO): Update ITAS account to reflect new MaxiFlex work schedule.
  8. Employee: Once your MaxiFlex schedule is set up in ITAS, you will certify your Timecard.
