We’ve Moved!

The NIH Training Center (NIHTC) has moved its Rockledge headquarters to 11601 Landsdown Street in North Bethesda. We’re excited about our new home, which is adjacent to the White Flint Metro Station! Having our facility in a well-connected area of North Bethesda means you can enjoy our top-quality training classes and a wide range of walkable lunch options, including those within the new Pike and Rose development. Our newly designed training space features the latest in audio-visual technology to enhance your learning experience -- whether you are an on-site or remote learner. You’ll be able to reach us by shuttle, metro, and car. Note - the NIHTC second location on campus in Natcher (Building 45) remains unchanged.

Know Before You Go

Metro Rail
Metro is the most convenient form of transportation to our 11601 Landsdown Street NIHTC location. The White Flint stop is only two stops from the NIH main campus on the Red Line.

Shuttle
There are shuttle services from the NIH campus to White Flint via the Fishers Lane, Executive Boulevard, and Montrose Road.

Parking
The White Flint Metro garage is located behind the building. Parking is $8.70 per day with a SmarTrip card or credit card. If you need to park directly at the Metro, please arrange for a SmarTrip card through your IC or administrative office in advance of your visit.

There is a free satellite Woodglen parking lot 0.2 miles from the building, which is a 5-10 minute walk. The NIH entrance is on Nicholson Lane and is close to Whole Foods. All cars with NIH hang tags are permitted to park in the Woodglen parking lot. If you do not have an NIH hang tag, request a daily permit by contacting the Training Center via an email to NIHTrainingCenter@nih.gov. If you are on Transhare and need to drive to the NIHTC facility, please visit: https://www.ors.od.nih.gov/pes/dats/parking/Pages/TempPermits.aspx#TempGen for a temporary permit.
