Land Management Workforce
The Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA) lets individuals with temporary roles in land management agencies apply for permanent government positions.

Land management agencies include:
- Bureau of Indian Affairs

- You were appointed through competitive procedures.
- You worked in a land management agency for over 24 months without a 2-year break.
- You maintained a good performance record and left your last job for reasons other than misconduct.
What to provide
- Your Personnel Actions (SF-50) documents proving you worked the required time without a 2-year break.
- Proof of good performance, such as:
- Signed ratings by your supervisor.
- A supervisor's statement confirming your performance.
- An explanation if performance documents are unavailable, ensuring your performance was satisfactory.
Submit everything by the job announcement's closing date.
