Base Facilities Management Employees

If you're a current or former time-limited employee of a Base Management agency, you may be eligible for a permanent appointment in the competitive service.

P.L. 115–91: National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018

These agencies include the Department of Defense:

  • Major Range and Test Facilities Base; or a
  • Defense Industrial Base Facility.

Employees who’ve worked temporarily or on a term basis at these agencies might be eligible for a permanent position across all government departments, not just within the agency where you worked.

You may be eligible if:

  1. You are applying to an agency’s announcement accepting applications from outside its workforce;
  2. You were appointed through competitive procedures.

Required documents:

  1. Your Personnel Actions (SF-50) records.
