Executive Careers

These key leadership positions must be at the executive level (SES or equivalent) within their respective (Institute and Center) IC. They require significant authority and oversight to lead and direct programs and staff, with broad impact across the NIH community, external partners, and stakeholders. These positions often have national or international influence and are typically at the Division Director level or higher.

Qualifying roles include IC Directors, Deputy Directors, Senior Executive Service positions, and other designated senior-level positions at NIH that meet the criteria above.
