Summary

This position is located in the Immunology & Infectious Disease Budget & Financial Management Branch (IIDBFMB), Office of Mission Integration and Financial Management (OMIFM), Office of Science Management and Operations (OSMO), Office of the Director (OD), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

Duties

• Prepare background material concerning the IC for use in briefing to officials scheduled to appear before Congressional appropriations committees or other oversight groups and in the strategic planning of defending a budget.
• Formulate and develop future budgetary requirements for the complex mechanisms of support, using historical data, trend analysis and relevant funding patterns of the IC.
• Responsible for the daily execution of the IC budget and monitor all mechanisms that support the intramural and extramural programs, including any reimbursements and co-funding support.
• Develop, implement and record apportionment distributions, allotments, and allowances into official budget execution documents that are transmitted to external organizations, such as NIH, DHHS, OMB, and Treasure.
• Verify that sufficient funds are available for transactions processed, record commitment documents such as interagency agreements, and monitor obligations for conformance to the overall financial operating plan and apportionment plan.
