Summary

The incumbent will serve as an expert statistical consultant and advisor to scientific investigators and subject matter experts supporting a segment of a broader research program or statistical project. The incumbent will provide advanced statistical guidance, collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams, and contribute expertise in study design, data analysis, interpretation, and statistical methodology to ensure scientifically rigorous and meaningful research outcomes.

Duties

As a Statistician, GS-1530-13, your duties may include but are not limited to the following: Serve as an expert consultant on a research program, or statistical project. Identify specific research areas that merit investigation. Develop new hypotheses and approaches for studies, and evaluate the feasibility of such endeavors. Initiate, formulate, plan, and execute statistical studies. Advise scientists on the selection of appropriate study design, statistical analysis, and interpretation of study results. Provide technical consultation and leadership on complex statistical studies. Prepare comprehensive reports of study results. Present results of studies to the scientific community at professional meetings and conferences.
