Summary

The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) is seeking an IT Project Manager (Supervisory). This position is located within the Office of Operational Management (OOM), Office of Administrative Management (OAM), National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Duties

  • Direct and supervise a staff of professional and technical employees in OIT who specialize in computer technology and information systems, cybersecurity, and database design.
  • Serve as the administrator for all custom IT systems supporting scientific research, informatics, and information resource management across NIBIB offices, branches, and laboratories.
  • Serves as a senior technical authority in addressing the most complex aspects of the Institute’s scientific computing, informatics, cybersecurity, and information systems requirements.
  • Leads rapid response efforts to resolve service disruptions, overseeing IT service delivery to ensure continuity of mission-critical research operations.
  • Advise leadership on innovative methods and best practices to constantly improve the mission effectiveness of NIBIB IT.
  • Directs the IT Project Management Office (PMO), overseeing project priorities, budgets, and contracted activities, including serving as or supervising Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORs).
