Summary

This position serves as Director, Division of Grants Compliance and Oversight (DGCO) to oversee the Divisions' activities, provide administrative and technical supervision over the Division staff, coordinates activities with other OPERA divisions, and serve as a liaison and advocate to the extramural community.

Duties

  • As a Supervisory Grants Management Specialist, some of your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Supervise subordinates and provide policy and program objectives, assigns tasks and evaluate performance of subordinate staff members.
  • Serve as authority for NIH on grants compliance and oversight issues as they relate to DHHS/PHS/NIH policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Develop and implement guidelines and policies to ensure appropriate stewardship and oversight of Federal assistance programs both internally and externally.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce a grants compliance partnership with the biomedical research (recipient) community.
  • Develop and implement a proactive grants compliance program and develop and enforce a reactive grants compliance program as necessary to deal with acts/allegations/reports of noncompliance.
  • Develop procedures for conducting compliance and oversight reviews and coordinate the review of institutional compliance and oversight programs.
  • Supervise analytical studies, reviews, and trend analysis of assistance policies and procedures and the review and analyses of institutional compliance and oversight programs.
