Job Posting: Chief of Staff
Summary
The incumbent serves as Chief of Staff to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) Director and Deputy Director and is a principal advisor to Senior Staff providing expertise, advice, and counsel on a broad range of management and administrative aspects of the Institute's research programs and activities.
Duties
- Provides advice and consultation to the Director and Deputy Director to assist in the planning, development, implementation, and integration of NIDDK programs.
- Assists in the oversight of a broad range of research programs, issues, and projects to help maintain alignment with NIDDK and NIH strategic goals and objectives.
- Analyzes, reviews, and appraises cross-cutting or multi-functional NIDDK programs and functions, and recommends improvements
- Helps direct the preparation of broad-ranging documents and materials.
- Helps ensure that programs and projects are completed in a timely manner consistent with Institute and Agency strategic plans, goals, and objectives.
- Convenes meetings to help lay out analytical and tactical strategies on issues brought to the Director and Deputy Director.
