Summary

This position is located in the AIDS Budget and Financial Management Branch (ABFMB), Office of Mission Integration & Financial Management (OMIFM), Office of Science Management and Operations (OSMO), Office of the Director (OD), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

Duties

  • Interpret financial information to assist in evaluating programs for decision­ making alternatives.
  • Oversee integrated financial management systems that integrate and independently support the budget operations in ways that furnish timely data useful in the direction, evaluation, and control of biomedical research and health services.
  • Provide advice to OMIFM and NIAID officials on NIAID budget operations for the assigned mission area in order to enable and support effective financial planning, budget management, and decision making.
  • Oversee the grants financial management tracking and forecasting system of the NIAID to ensure proper utilization of extramural grant funds for all grant mechanisms.
  • Provide the full range of supervisory responsibilities over the subordinate staff, including interviewing and recommending selections for positions, planning and assigning work, setting priorities and deadlines, evaluating progress and outcomes.
