Summary

If you are an exceptionally talented, knowledgeable, and motivated individual with experience in a variety of immigration processing duties, including J-1 Exchange visitors, B-1/WB's, TNs, and F-1s, and enjoy being part of a team providing a quality work environment, then consider joining the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) Division of International Services (DIS).

Duties

As an Immigration Specialist, your duties will include: Determine the appropriateness of the visa statutes and program category requested. Resolve problems of conflicting regulatory and/or procedural requirements. Advise visiting program participants of the necessity to comply with applicable laws and regulations. Conduct presentations/workshops/orientations to deliver immigration and cultural information to staff and foreign scientists. Prepare and issue official government certificates and documents pertaining to immigration and visa issues. Provide information to maintain the Enterprise Database and other Division tracking systems.

Peace Corps & AmeriCorps Vista

Individuals who have served at least 2 years with the Peace Corps or 1 year with AmeriCorps VISTA.

Family members of a federal employee or uniformed service member who is, or was, working overseas.

Military spouses relocating under PCS orders, or whose spouse is 100% disabled or died while on active duty.

Land & base management
