Duties

  • Prepares biomedical research-support art files from multiple source applications including, but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, for production, exhibiting a mastery with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Accurately scopes projects and coordinates assets and critical tasks, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities and/or campaigns.
  • Advises on the technical advantages and disadvantages of various formats, styles, media, and methods of reproduction, suggesting those that will best meet the information objectives of each project.
  • Manually assembles, cuts, mounts, collates, and produces products such as framed scientific imagery, photography, certificates, brochures, booklets, scientific posters, and scientific conference meeting materials.
  • Operates and troubleshoots imaging software, hardware, and machinery including large-format printers, high-resolution photo printers, large-volume digital printers, heat/cold mount machine, laminator, and paper-cutter.
