Job Posting: IT Project Manager
Summary
The incumbent functions as an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager to plan and carry out projects for the development of IT solutions to support NIH.
Duties
Serves as a Project Manager with responsibility for the planning, management, and oversight of major IT projects and contracts involving the development and implementation of IT solutions. Ensures IT projects and contracts are integrated within the overall program IT requirements, schedule, budget, and reporting mechanisms; remain on time and within budget constraints; and meet high IT quality standards in terms of both development and non-development portions of projects. Implements new IT policy and program initiatives such as promoting the adoption of IT best practices from government and industry and the standardization of operational methods and practices to ensure the timely and effective implementation of new initiatives. Drafts Statement of Works (SOWs) and other associated contract documentation and coordinates with contracting officers. Ensures complete and accurate documentation of all contract deliverables, invoices, and payments. Participates in the planning, development, preparation, and ongoing administration of current and outyear office budgets aligned to NIH strategic plans. This includes analysis and recommendations to the supervisor of requests by staff to augment or adjust operating and labor budgets.
