Do you have experience supervising trades and technical staff in the operation, maintenance, repair and renovation of facilities and utility systems, building systems, and equipment? If so, consider joining our amazing team with the NIH, Office of Research Facilities (ORF), Division of Technical Resources (DTR), Utilities Generation Branch (UGB)! You will serve as the Chief of the Utilities Maintenance and Operations Section within the NIH Central Utilities and Cogeneration Plant.

Duties

As a Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist in the Central Utilities Plant (CUP), you will: Plan, supervise, and coordinate all work requirements and projects to maintain NIH CUP buildings. Oversee CUP facility management resources to include personnel, service contracts, financial programs, space utilization and information resources. Provide technical expertise for major or emergency repairs, alterations, or replacements of NIH CUP facilities and of normal contract repairs as directed. Maintain knowledge of evolving technology in operations and maintenance techniques and materials that facilitate solving new or unusual technical problems. Initiate and prepare a wide range of indefinite delivery orders, task orders, and full service maintenance, construction and performance-based contracts.
