Job Posting: Supervisory Interpreter (Bilingual-Spanish)
Summary
The role of this position is to serve as a Supervisory Spanish interpreter primarily to provide management, direction, oversight, and strategic planning for the Language Interpreters Program (LIP). Duties
- Developing and implementing goals, policies, procedures and standards for the Language Interpreters Program (LIP).
- Initiating and executing complex administrative/management projects.
- Maintaining an appropriate level of professional competence by keeping informed about language program administration and legal and/or Joint Commission requirements through reading and attending seminars/workshops.
- Providing expert advice on the administrative and management implications of policy and program proposals.
- Developing and maintaining professional standards of service and ensures that the program functions in accordance with governing laws, policies, regulations and professional standards of practice.
- Researching and identifying new concepts and techniques, monitor activities identified for special interest and keep the Chief, SWD informed of developments through conferences and briefing papers.
