Description

This two day course is open to CORs, Contract Specialists, Purchasing Agents or other program officials and can be used for elective credit or be applied towards earning a FAC-C Level I certification. It addresses critical duties, functions, and responsibilities performed by contracting personnel during the contract administration (post-award) phase of the acquisition process. The course format involves lectures and discussions that expose the student to the sequence of activities they may expect to encounter when administering both simple and complex procurements. The course highlights activities that must be performed during the administration phase of a contract, methods of avoiding issues that may negatively affect contract performance, activities required by law or statute, and actions that should be taken to ensure the government’s interests are protected.
