Federal Staff

Section Chief/Project Manager 

Performs general oversight of the Project and its sub-projects, to include:
  • Managing the work of FTE and contract staff
  • Financial and contract management and oversight 
  • Forecasting customer needs; scheduling, reviewing, and approving work 

Project Lead - Functional

Ensures that WiTS reflects the way that NIH OHR does its business.
  • Lead for Requirements Gathering (major Enhancement projects)
  • Lead for interconnections (functional); Liaison with HHS, OPM
  • Component (form/report/workflow) design/review/test

Project Lead – ​Technical 

Ensures that WiTS employs the best tools possible, remains aligned with current technology, and is positioned to support current and future growth from a system perspective. 
  • Lead for system infrastructure design/review
  • Lead for interconnections (technical)
  • Liaison with CIT, OIT 
  • Lead for database/app development and support (triage/oversight/execution) 

Project Lead – Internal Operations

Ensures that the work of the Team is conducted effectively and efficiently by identifying and implementing methods to streamline, improve and document Team operations. 
  • Lead for Team processes and procedures
  • Lead for Team SOP creation/maintenance 
  • Lead for user administration (licenses, access/permissions, etc.)     
  • Lead for recurring database maintenance activities (uploads/imports, updates, documentation)

Project Lead – User Engagement

Ensures that WiTS maintains a positive brand with stakeholders, keeping users informed, engaged, and satisfied with WiTS products and services.
  • Lead for communications, marketing  and training efforts
  • Lead for all user outreach projects (WiSC, Focus Groups, surveys, etc.)

Project Staff - Functional Specialist 

Assists Functional Project Lead in:
  • Requirements Gathering
  • Component (workflow/report/dashboard) testing
Assists Internal Operations Lead in:
  • HR Systems Support activities (HRSS/A requirements gathering, Learning Labs, etc.)
  • Preparation and maintenance of Team documentation 
Assists User Engagement Lead in:
  • Marketing and communications activities
  • Delivery of training and preparation of training materials
  • Website Content management
  • WiSC management  

Project Staff – Technical Specialist 

Assists Technical Project Lead in:
  • Form/report development
  • Database maintenance and support activities
  • Interface design/testing 
  • Maintenance tasks on WiTS components (fixes and small modifications)
Assists Internal Operations Lead in:
  • Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation

Contract Staff

Senior J2EE Struts / BPM BizFlow Application Programmer

  • Performs (and oversees the performance of) BPM workflow and JSP form development, application/database scripting, and preparation of technical requirements documents (Level of Effort (LOE) estimating)
  • Performs (and oversees the performance of) systems maintenance for WiTS critical components such as but not limited to Tomcat, BizFlow, Java, SQL Database to ensure availability and service continuity
  • Resolves (and oversees the resolution of) Tier 3 support tickets dealing with software bugs or other technical issues related to workflows and forms.

Senior Database Administrator (DBA) / SSRS Reports Developer

  • Performs(and oversees the performance of) JSP and .NET development related to reports/dashboards, application/database scripting, creation and maintenance of system interfaces, and preparation of technical requirements documents (Level of Effort (LOE) estimating)
  • Performs systems maintenance for WiTS critical software components such as but not limited to Java, SQL Databases, and SSRS to ensure availability and service continuity
  • Resolves (and oversees the resolution of) Tier 3 support tickets dealing with software bugs or other technical issues related to database/reports
