How do I find Position Descriptions (PDs) in HR CARDS?

Using HR CARDS, search for Position Descriptions (PDs) and their accompanying classification and recruitment documents by entering keywords related to a position’s official title in the Keyword Search field:

To complete a keyword search:
1. Enter keywords related to a position’s title, if using two words use comma between words
2. Click Submit
3. Search results will appear
4. Click Clear Search Criteria to start a new Keyword Search

How do I find my HR CARDS user ID and Password?

HR CARDS username and password are the same as the NIH username and password. In order to retrieve or reset a password, user must go through the NIH Helpdesk or if already registered for NIH I Forgot My Password, go to https://iforgotmypassword.nih.gov/aims/ps/.

  • Select Domain from the drop-down menu (NIH)
  • Enter Username
  • User must agree to user terms
  • Answer security questions and create a new NIH password.
How do I find my Employee ID#?

You can locate your 8 digit employee ID# in LMS (your employee ID is not your NIH Badge ID).

  1. Log into the https://lms.learning.hhs.gov/Saba/Web/Main HHS Learning Portal (LMS).
  2. Click on your name in the blue menu bar.
  3. Your “Username” which is your “Employee ID Number” will be listed under the “Professional Profile Information” heading.

How can I edit information in my employee’s LMS training course request? (For manager’s only)

In order to correct information in LMS, your AO must first update this user’s NED profile. Once the information is corrected in NED, it will be automatically update in the LMS system overnight. If you need to approve a training immediately or have other issues, please go to the HR Requests Page, and select 'Get Help With An HR System' to contact the HR Systems Support Team.

As a manager, how can I make changes to information in LMS when attempting to approve training courses?

How can I access my eOPF after transferring to a different government agency?

Please allow approximately 2-4 pay periods from your date of transfer to view your eOPF. If it has been more than 4 pay periods since your date of transfer and you are still unable to view your eOPF, please go to the HR Requests Page, and select 'Get Help With An HR System' to contact the HR Systems Support Team.

How can I view documents in my eOPF that will not open?

Make sure you are only using Internet Explorer as Chrome is no longer compatible with the recent eOPF update. Furthermore, please make sure your pop-up blocker is turned OFF. You can check this by:

  1. Click the Settings icon in the top right corner of the browser
  2. Click Internet Options
  3. Go to the Privacy Tab
  4. Make sure the pop up blocker box is NOT checked
  5. If issues still persist, please go to the HR Requests Page, and select 'Get Help With An HR System' to contact the HR Systems Support Team.

Your CAPITIAL HR account my not be linked to AMS and the HRSS team will need to relink your account so you are able to login.

How do I resolve an invalid user ID/password issue in CAPHR?

Please go to the HR Requests Page, and select 'Get Help With An HR System' to contact the HR Systems Support Team.Please ensure CAPTIAL HR is selected under 'System' and Account Permission is chosen as the 'Issue category.'

Your CAPITIAL HR account is either disabled due to not logging in for 60 days or your account has been automatically removed by the system due to an extended time period of inactivity.

Once the HRSS team receives the submitted HRSS Ticket they will review your account and inform you of the status of your account.

Additionally, please ensure that you click Sign Out link at the top right of the screen when you are done in CAPITIAL HR, rather than simply closing the tab/browser. This will ensure that your account does not stay logged in and eventually time out, due to inactivity.
